The Chocolate House of Lytham
Have you ever hankered for your favourite sweets from your childhood? Have you ever wished you could turn the clock back and munch on the sweeties you had when you went to the pictures on Saturday morning to watch the matinee? Or do you just like sweeties? Well, a visit to the Chocolate House will sort you out!
Kola Kubes, Golden Nuggets (yes, those in the little drawstring sack), Refreshers, Millions, Sweet Tobacco, Lipsticks, Rhubarb and Custard, Pear Drops, and on and on. The list of those old fashioned, retro sweets goes on. This very inviting shop is filled with row upon row of glass jars filled with all of those sweets and toffees you can remember from your youth!
This business is passionately run by owner Ethon Healy - he is constantly on the search for more of those sweets to tempt you. Ethon has had this business for two years and also offers a beautifully presented selection of authentic handmade Belgian Chocolates which are actually bought in from Belgium. These can be purchased in varying weights and about 20 different varieties. For that special occasion why not ask for them in a gift box, which is carefully put together complete with gift ribbons.
Amongst the glass jars and Belgian chocolates, you will also find Lytham Rock, Farrahs chocolates and toffees. Ethon is really pleased to be able to offer Wright & Co brandy snaps and ginger biscuits - he is the only independent retailer to have been given this range. There is also a large selection of own label biscuits, toffees, fudge and nougats in a distinctive tin carrying the local well know landmark Lytham Windmill.
How can you fail to be tempted? Watch out for the Chocolate House's old fashioned ice cream bicycle laden with goodies outside Clifton Walk on weekends.
