Easter in Lytham
Date: 22-04-2011
The sights and sounds of Easter and the spring bank holidays are all around us – people are getting out their summer wardrobes, rushing for the ice cream vans and basking in any available ray they can. After a long and arduous winter, it seems everyone is desperate to make the most of the extended Easter holidays and to revel in that positive summer-is-just-around-the-corner feeling! And what better way to celebrate Easter and the impending arrival of summer with a trip down to Clifton Walk in Lytham. Although all the shops owners will be delighted to see you, it’s bound to be a particularly busy time for Ethon Healy at The Chocolate House of Lytham. With Easter displays aplenty and an array of tasty treats from home and abroad – some directly imported from Belgium – he’s sure to tempt you away from any diet for a day or two.
If your taste buds are still not sufficiently tickled after visiting The Chocolate House of Lytham, then perhaps a trip to the Greenhalgh Craft Bakery is in order where you will find an array of sweet and savoury selections with an Easter twist which are all designed to take up that last bit of room your belly might have!
Once full, a trip over to Lytham Heritage Centre for their spring exhibitions season might be in order to burn off those extra calories – with displays from the Northern Action Group, Margaret Rodwell and Roger Kirby throughout Easter, there’s plenty to see.
Whatever you do this Easter, be sure to find time to help support your local Lytham businesses – here to help you have the happiest Easter possible.
