Lytham wartime weekend
Date: 27-03-2012
There are many reasons for visitors to be attracted to Lytham St Annes in the summer months – our historic local amenities and attractions, our fantastic seaside location, but there is also the popular Lytham wartime weekend.Sure to draw the crowds in the hazy summer days of August, this collection of events will showcase re-enactments, plays and other tributes to the spirit and success of the British war effort. With music, dance, memorabilia, exciting battles, educational exhibitions and live demonstrations plus a living history camp there is truly something for every taste. You’ll leave feeling enthused about our war effort, informed and quite possibly desperate for some refreshment and recovery time!
Our local specialist retailers at Clifton Walk will, of course, be on hand to support the August spectacular by ensuring that the quality items and produce for sale continue the theme of advertising the best of Lytham to the rest of the country. With a variety of foodstuffs available across the site, there will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to the wartime weekend spectacular to restore their energy levels and, perhaps, purchase a memento from one of the other retailers who will all be supporting the cause, like they do for every major event in the local area.
So if you’re in town for the wartime re-enactment in August this year, make sure you pop into Clifton Walk and show your support to the local retailers – it truly will make the weekend go with a bang.
