Whats on in Lytham 2011

Date: 29-01-2011

Lytham has more to offer than most people think! And whilst Clifton Walk is well worth a visit on its own, there are plenty of things to see and do in the area to persuade you that you don’t always need to travel a great distance to have fun and experience something new.

With exhibitions, antiques fairs, nature walks and dancing, there is something for everyone in Lytham’s calendar in 2011 – so get yours marked.

January has already seen the opening of an exhibition of an arts exhibition by local artist Margaret King – and if you hurry, you’ll still catch it! The display runs until the end of January 2011 at Lowther Pavilion and is open six days a week – the perfect cultural addition to a Saturday shopping trip to Clifton Walk in Lytham.

Or if antiques are more your thing than art, then the Antiques and Collectors Fair on 29th January is sure to be right up your street. With 9.30am to 4.00pm entry, an entry fee of only £1 and 60 stalls at the event, this is sure to be a fair to remember. So once you’ve appreciated the past at the Lowther Pavilion and bought something to remember it by, why not pop into Clifton Walk and indulge in the present – we’re sure that the staff at The Chocolate House of Lytham or Ophelia’s Nail Salon will be happy to assist your indulgences!

Dancing in all forms continues its surge into ever greater heights of popularity, and the afternoon tea dance at Lowther Pavilion on 15th February is sure to get you active and get those calories burned. Who knows, maybe you’ll burn enough to treat yourself to a slim piece of fashion from The Fashion Shop in Clifton Walk.

Lytham is bursting with activity in 2011 – so head on down to experience it, and ensure that no day is complete without a visit to Clifton Walk.
